We are a community of awesome people who live and share the Good News. From food baskets, donations to local charities, and traveling to help others in need, LUMC reaches out to others.
LUMC women started the annual Labor Day Fall Festival, at Memory Square Park, in 1932. We continue to be involved by running the pancake breakfast and a lunch booth featuring hamburgers, hot dogs, and bratwurst.
LUMC Mission Projects

2st Saturday Lunch
The second Saturday of every month a delicious healthy meal is served at the Lydia Morgan Retirement Apartments in Louisville. Church volunteers prepare, serve, and clean up after the meal. It is open to all, and the residents enjoy inviting their family and friends to come and dine with them. Up to 70 people have been served at one lunch.
The lunch is entirely free - please join us for a nutritious meal and a time for fellowship and forming new friendships!
Jefferson Street Preschool
LUMC established Jefferson Street Preschool (JSP) as a community outreach in 2008. The preschool is located next door to the church and shares its playground and parking area. JSP serves families with children aged 2½ through 5 years. JSP is dedicated to providing a loving and nurturing environment where children can use their natural curiosity and creativity to build a strong foundation for a life-long love of learning.
For more information, visit the JSP website http://www.jeffersonstreetpreschool.com or call the JSP office at 303-666-6080.
LUMC hosts many organizations such as AA and scout troops. Activities taking place in the church include a cooking class for handicapped adults run by Imagine!, piano recitals and music lessons. Several weddings take place yearly in our sanctuary.
